I am Beverly Maxvill of The Quilters Patch.
In May of 2009, I moved my store The Quilters Patch from the East side of Michigan to the West side of Michigan. The store is now located at 5438 West Polk Road, Hart , Michigan 49420 ( located between Hart and Mears).
I opened my store in 1981 and am celebrating 28 years in business. I have used my art training to develope quilt designs and wrote my first book in 1992, "Victorian Patchwork & Quilting", which is out of print but copies are available on the net. The book led me to develope Crazy Quilt patterns which were a block of the month in the Keepsake Quilting Catalog for two years and are now available through Quilters Warehouse. I also have patterns in embroidery, paper-piecing, asian designs, patchwork and applique.
My new book, "A Year of Paper Piecing" from Martingale & Co., has recently been declared a "Best Seller" and is currently available through Martingale & Co., Amazon.com., Connecting Threads and Crafters Choice Book Club.
I am thrilled to announce that my designs will be presented on my first fabric line with Benartex Fabrics at Spring Quilt Market 2010. Watch for new patterns in conjunction with this fabric line.
I am slowly adjusting to the move, missing friends and customers on the East side and meeting people from all over Michigan and the U.S. If you are in the area, stop in and say hello. There are lots of local things to see and enjoy. My back door is the Silver Lake Sand Dunes which are open for you to ride on, Lighthouse you can climb and lots of pretty towns to visit.
